Art Quilt Alliance (AQA) was organized in 1991 by a group of fiber artists in central Ohio. We provide encouragement, exhibition opportunities, professional guidelines, and information sharing. Emphasis is on original works.
Joy by Jean Weissman
In our many daily wanderings, members of AQA find textures, shapes and colors that inspire our art. While the natural world beckons, so do our families, our neighborhoods, our social and political events. We are captured by the turn of a leaf, the line of a building, the texture of a stone, and our thoughts regarding our surrounding world.
Many of us use traditional fabrics in our art. We may also utilize bark, stones, paper, plastic and discarded building materials. Some of us dye or paint our fabrics. Our work may be 2 or 3 dimensional.
Making Holes Brings Me Joy by Nikki Nwosu
We show our work 3 to 4 times a year at venues in Central Ohio. All members are encouraged to participate. See our Exhibitions and Gallery pages.
